misc.
the handle on my toilet broke last night so now i have to flush it by pulling the chain, which is okay, but a hassle. fortunately i have awesome landlords who handle maintenance requests efficiently.
i am totally psyched to be back in the ashtanga routine. i'm practicing 4-5 days a week & after two weeks all soreness has disappeared & my flexibility is at about 85% (compared to my peak practicing days back in april/may when i was kicking ass six mornings a week). uh, yes, ashtanga = kicking ass. frankly, i'm astounded at the way my body has bounced back after a good four month hiatus. <3 bodies <3
zine-making = so much pressure! it's been almost a year since i put out my last issue & i feel like i have nothing to say & no good way to say it. fuck.
i have never felt as tense as i do at work these days. in my head i am making plans. i am making up bibliographies, plotting summer sessions at concordia, trying to imagine myself in school & probably not in boston. i'm still waiting to hear from schools, but lately my worries have turned into a sort of objective curiosity about where i'm going to end up.
i'm in spring-cleaning mode a few months early. i think spending four hours organizing sofy's basement set me off. (i did get a new windbreaker & some tube socks out of that deal.) today i cleaned off half my desk at work & later this week i'ma pack up all the clothes i never wear anymore.
i'll be at the transecting the academy conference on saturday with yumi. say hi if you're there too.
winter eating = green tea, salads with annie's goddess dressing, curried chickpeas with kale, chocolate chip bars from how it all vegan, moira's minestrone, potato leek soup, roasted garlic spread on crusty bread, clementines, bulgur wheat with raisins, roasted potatoes.

all week i've been eating oatmeal for breakfast with the following: dates, golden raisins, and brown sugar. it's really filling & warming, and my stomach has been happy that i've avoided dairy (at least for breakfast).

i don't know if such a thing is possible but i plan to make it happen if there is a remote chance.
it is so past my bedtime. goodnight.

I'm fairly confident that your zine will be excellent when it comes out (if previous zines are any indicator, and they are). Process over product? ;)
Also, that food sounds delicious. Perhaps I will have potato lek soup with crusty bread for lunch today...
