1 Topic I Don't Care To Know About
- ???
-----
the problem with a topic i don't care to know about is that i could be quite interested in most anything as long as i could find the right angle from which to approach it. like, i don't care to know about a few american/western team sports, but i'm interested in their impact on how we view athletics, what we value in sports, why these particular sports are more important to the american mainstream than others, how they have affected/been affected by race/gender/class/sexuality over time, etc.
i realize that the topics my friends know well are very broad & vague. my friends know a lot about a lot of different things, from punk history to sewing, chemistry to photography, lichens & mosses, childcare, feminist theory, linguistics, classical music, various types of food & cooking, film & fashion & communism & library science & martial arts & mathematics. my friends rock.
other things i would like to study/learn about: block printing, the chemistry of baking, u.s. labor history, bike repair, psychology & the history of talk therapy, photography, puppetry, mural painting, french, history of subway systems, urban planning...
