boston area folks please check out this saturday's conference: "war on terrorism or assault on human rights?" at umass boston. it's free & open to the public & there are some amazing people giving presentations. i think i'm gonna go for the morning portion, to catch nancy chang's talk on the patriot act(s), the panel about detentions, & the section on political art.
