i heard this on NPR this weekend and thought "why am i not the least bit surprised?"
i plan on voting anyway, even if it involves making a ballot box out of an old kleenex box and writing my vote on a slip of paper. everyone's invited to my house to vote!!
From the speed and (comparative) firmness of Barbara Boxer's response to this (see my next-to-last post) I think the White House may find this trial balloon is more of a turd in the punch bowl, if I may mix my metaphors (and I know you won't mind, Toby.) With any luck this will turn into an embarrassment on the order of "Mission Accomplished."
