sofles dragged me to see the divine secrets of the ya-ya fucking sisterhood at the second-run theatre tonight. gawd, the accents were atrocious. maggie smith is adorable but her "southern" accent was so british, poor thing. everyone was just pretty over the top. it was, like, worse than steel magnolias. i always feel like people in movies set in the south just try too hard. southern talk should slide right out. it should sound effortless.

my grandma says people up north talk so fast because it's so cold, they have to hurry up & finish talking so they can go somewhere & get warm.

i got a haircut. tomorrow i'm baking a cake. taryn, the grilled veggie burrito at anna's isn't half bad & doesn't come with rice. the veggies are nice & crisp. my house is a wreck & the kitchen is overrun with dishes which is not like me at all. but it is so my bedtime now.
