no cavities!! (after 4+ years since my last check-up. so all that obsessive tooth-brushing has paid off, i guess.)

i do have to get my wisdom teeth extracted, but it's not as huge of a rush as i thought, apparently. i got a referral for an oral surgeon about four blocks from my house! also i was mildly chastized for not flossing consistently.

plus, they kicked ass with my name issues. yay for my new dentist! thanks marissa!

Lies I tell my dentist

My dentist, Little Doctor Hanley (who I imagine also gets hit on frequently by preteen girls, as he's got that 12-Year-Old Boy Look goin' on), says dentists know that EVERYBODY lies about flossing.

When the hygienist asks, "Have you been flossing regularly?" , I've started saying "Yes?" in a very exageratedly-shamefaced, obviously-lying, eyes-averted way that kind of deflects the chastising. I'd rather be laughed at than scolded. Plus they give me lots of that cool Glide floss that's hard to find at Eckerds.

Getting very excited about seeing you in three weeks.
