east coast. most charming apartment ever. boston accents. chinatown busses to nyc. dunkin donuts on every corner. awesome public transit. the charles/mgh stop with its view of the river, still breathtaking after five years. boston drivers. snow. snow days. hazardous icy sidewalks. humid summers. diesel cafe. candlepin bowling. photobooths at the children's museum. the hoc. the laundrymat down the street & the couple who own it. the aboretum. autumn colors. fenway community health center. the coolidge corner theatre. the perfectly-timed bus commute from my house to the hoc. all the amazing people i love here.

hello
west coast. school for the first time in years. cows. trial-by-fire TAing. bicycles everywhere. cheap rent. no winter. cheap bus to berkeley. gorgeous train ride to oakland. scrumptious produce year-round. things i have yet to discover. the west coast friends i've never been able to spend enough time with before.


i am packing up the laptop & leaving my apartment. in the morning i'm off to california. it still doesn't seem quite real. saying goodbye to sofy this afternoon was very terrible. i'm not looking forward to more goodbyes tonight. farewell, new england.

i've been riding my bike a ton lately, so i say yay to anyplace that involves "bicycles everywhere."

i hope i can west coast it sometime in the next year. i can't imagine not seeing you at all in that period of time.
