i went to the full 2-hour primary series class this morning & i felt so fucking good. the primary series in its entirety is still one of my top five favorite things, i swear. i'm sort of in awe at the body's ability to remember things on a physical level-- i put myself into marichyasana d with hardly a second thought. it took me a year & a half to even attempt that posture, plus a good month of joji pulling me into it & holding me there every morning before i could do it on my own. after two months of basically no practice whatsoever, my body still remembers how to do that. my flexibility is almost back to what it was in june, after only four classes. stamina & tummy muscles still a bit wimpy, but vastly improving.

bodies fuckin rock a lot.

(that site linked above has detailed pictures/explanations of every posture in the primary series, in order, through supta kurmasana-- which is maybe two-thirds of the full series. if you want to see what things look like. my favorite postures are marichyasana c, bhujapidasana & kurmasana. navasana is my least favorite.)

i have to finish making a present, figure out what to cook for dinner, & head back to the house of corruption now. in a few days riley & yumi will be here. i'm so excited for kitchen table conversations.
