guh. the co-op is my salvation. my boxes were finally delivered this morning & i immediately unpacked all my kitchen things first, then took myself to the co-op to start stocking the pantry. it is gorgeous there. bulk rice in every variety you could think of, the cheapest most beautiful organic vegetables i have ever seen, a million kinds of soymilk, lemongrass, quinoa, 8 kinds of mushrooms, at least ten kinds of flour, milled cane sugar, huge granny smith apples, bulk pasta bins lining one wall. it is bright & clean & spacious. i want to eat the whole store.

tonight's dinner: soba noodles with creamy mushroom-leek sauce, & braised baby bok choy. dessert is a rice dream mocha pie. i have a kitchen again. i have a bed to sleep on tonight. i could not be happier.

dude...i hope someday you live closer to me...and decide to throw a lavish self catered dinner party...and invite me!

i seriously just ate...but your post made the food in my stomach feel so unworthy that i'm going to have to make up in quantity what you have in quality.

oh well. the more food the better!
