went to nyc for a much-needed vacation. it was rather blissful despite a few snags. back at home again, i'm wondering if i'm taking everything way too seriously sometimes but unwilling to let others get away with rude or dismissive comments about such things as transpeople, mental health, & racism. loving this weather. loving agnes varda's the gleaners & i.



A - Age: twenty-five. i still look twelve.

B - Best Quality: listening skills?

C - Choice Of Meat: gimme lean vegan sausage.

D - Dream Date: where "date" equals "person"-- compassionate, tuff, quick sense of humor, smart analysis, good kisser.

E - Ex (most recent): i only have one.

F - Favorite Food: changes regularly. spinach salad from emma's. yumi's scallion-zucchini pancakes. avocado. sofy's potstickers. freshly-baked bread. most versions of soy.

G - Greatest Accomplishment: being honest.

H - Happiest Day of Your Life: i have a lot of happy days.

I - Internal conflicts: what to do job-wise/schooling-wise. how to be compassionate & caring without butting in patronizingly. how much to let go, in everyday life. stress management. passing.

J - Jam or Jelly: jam, strawberry or raspberry, maybe apricot.

K - Kool-Aid: have always hated it. brings up bad memories of vacation bible school i was forced to attend for years.

L - Love: yes please. plenty of room.

M - Most Valued Thing I Own: my cat, except we live a rather equitable life together, i wouldn't really say that i own her.

N - Name: toby. tobes to my friends. toes to a select few.

O - Outfit You Love: new grey pants, white button-up shirt, tie or sweater vest, black dress shoes.

P - Pizza Toppings: thyme-roasted mushrooms, fresh garlic, spinach, sweet potatoes, artichoke hearts, carmelized onions, tofu chunks, calamata olives, butternut squash... i'll eat almost any vegetable on a pizza.

Q - Question you want to ask: of whom? i think i probably ask all the questions i want to already. a long time ago i promised myself i'd always ask.

R - Radical thing you've done: kept trying. changed.

S - Sport To Watch: diving. pool.

T - Television Show: pre-movie x-files. these days i only watch tv when i'm at the hoc.

U - Unique habit: ?? extreme oral hygiene.

V - Very favorite word: charm. (it was the first one that came to mind. unfavorite word would be much easier.)

W - Winter: bad for dirty slush and icy hands, feet, cheeks, ears, nose. good for soups, tea, baking, cat snuggling, friend cuddling, getting under the covers, soft sweaters, and maybe this year i'll finally go sledding and/or ice skating.

Y – Yesterday's best meal: dinner with sofy at emma's = spinach salad, plus cheeseless pizza with garlic, artichoke hearts, mushrooms & rosemary sauce.

Z - Zodiac Sign: gemini. i don't know much about it so i dunno if it's accurate. you tell me.
